Cruisers to collect food, toiletries, and donations for Community Cupboards’ network of 24 outdoor pantries
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The final “Take Back The Strip” cruise of the year is scheduled for Saturday evening, Sept. 6, from 5 to 9 p.m., with donations being collected from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Old Mill on South Court Street in Circleville.
For the sixth consecutive year, participants are supporting the Community Cupboards of Pickaway County, a coalition of 24 outdoor pantry cupboards that provide food and toiletries to residents in need.
With estimates indicating that one in four people in Pickaway County struggles financially, organizers said cruisers will donate non-perishable food, toiletries, and monetary contributions to benefit the local community. Volunteers from Community Cupboards will be on site to collect the items and distribute funds for additional food purchases.
Organizers thanked participants for their continued support and encouraged a strong turnout for Saturday’s event. Community Cupboards of Pickaway County asked residents to follow their social media pages for updates and more information.
