Man attacks EMT, trashes Sheetz, and sparks police chase before arrest.

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio - A man from Pickaway County is facing sentencing after being found guilty on several felony charges, including

strangulation and assault, following a violent outburst at a South Bloomfield Sheetz earlier this year.

Brandon Delpesco was convicted on August 14 in the Pickaway County Court of Common Pleas for the February incident. The chaos began when a Veterans Affairs EMS team called for police backup while dealing with Delpesco, who was described as a combative patient at the gas station on U.S. Route 23.

According to police, Delpesco assaulted and choked an EMT before running inside the Sheetz convenience store. Once inside, he vandalized the property, causing enough damage to force the store to close for a period.

When a South Bloomfield officer arrived, Delpesco fled again, this time trying to get away in a car on Corrine Drive. Law enforcement managed to surround the vehicle, pull him out, and arrest him. He is now awaiting sentencing for the crimes.
