Ohio Launches Quick Response Team Grant Program to Fund Innovative Community Addiction Recovery Projects
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Attorney General David Yost has announced the launch of the Quick Response Team (QRT) Grant Program, a new initiative aimed at funding innovative, community-driven approaches to addiction recovery across the state.
The program, unveiled Wednesday by the Ohio Deflection Association (ODA) and the Ohio Department of Public Safety, will distribute up to $100,000 in total funding to eligible Ohio-based applicants. Individual grants will range from $10,000 to $50,000 per project.
“This is a unique opportunity for communities, nonprofits, and local agencies to bring forward creative solutions that can make a real difference in the fight against addiction,” the announcement stated.
Eligible applicants include private entities, nonprofit organizations, and local governments operating in Ohio. Proposed projects must demonstrate measurable outcomes and focus on engaging individuals struggling with addiction through innovative QRT models.
Applications are due by September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Finalists will present their proposals in a “Shark Tank”-style pitch event scheduled for November or December, with award announcements expected in January 2026. The grant period will run from January through December 2026.
Proposals must be submitted via email to QRTGrants@OhioAGO.gov. Questions can be directed to Patrick Melton, Director of Business Relations, at Patrick.Melton@OhioAGO.gov or (614) 466-4320.
Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Public Safety Director Andy Wilson have endorsed the initiative as part of the state’s broader effort to combat addiction through innovation and collaboration.
